Create Your HALO Account

First, you'll need to set up your account on our main site:

  1. Visit haloprep.com
  2. Click the "Sign Up" button (you'll find it in the top right corner)
  3. Enter your email address and create a password
  4. Click "Create Account"
  5. Check your email inbox for a confirmation message from HALO
  6. Click the confirmation link in that email to verify your account

Select Your Monthly Plan

Now that you're logged in, it's time to activate your Groupon deal:

  1. Go to the Pricing Page
  2. Look for the "Professional - $40/month" plan
    • This is the plan with the green "As Featured on Groupon" badge
    • It's marked as "Most Popular" with a star icon
  3. Click the "Get Professional - $40" button

Enter Your Groupon Code at Checkout

You'll now be redirected to our secure payment partner (Lemon Squeezy) to complete your subscription:

  1. Look for the "Discount Code" or "Promo Code" field on the checkout page
  2. Enter your 5-character Groupon code (example: 99OM8)
    • Type it exactly as shown on your Groupon voucher
    • All letters should be UPPERCASE
    • No spaces or dashes
  3. Click "Apply" or press Enter
  4. Verify the discount is applied: You should see $0.00 due today
    • Your free month(s) will show in the summary
    • If you purchased the 2-month Groupon deal, you'll get TWO months completely free:
      • Month 1: Free (no charge)
      • Month 2: Automatically renews free as well
      • Month 3: Standard billing begins at $40/month
    • After your free period ends, you'll be charged $40/month
  5. Add your payment card information
    • This card will NOT be charged today
    • It will only be used for billing after your free months end
    • You can cancel anytime before then with no charges
  6. Click "Complete Checkout"

Yes, the AI can interact with you. Our AI has been purposely trained on career guidance, interviewing techniques, and interview behavior. If you tell HALO "Help me write a thank you note", no problem, HALO will prepare it. "HALO, I get nervous during interviews, what can I do?" and HALO will provide guidance.

Can HALO store various resume copies it produces?

Yes, we recommend storing no more than 10. Each can be easily deleted by you at any time.

What is the Dashboard page for?

The Dashboard page keeps track of the jobs you are pursuing to get an interview or actively interviewing for. Each can be easily deleted by you at any time.

I enhanced my resume in HALO, how do I get it into a Word Doc?

Follow these steps to export your HALO resume to Microsoft Word with perfect formatting:

  1. Click the "Download" button in HALO after creating your resume
  2. Your resume will open in a new browser window in HTML format (it looks like a webpage)
  3. Select all content: Press Ctrl + A (Windows) or Cmd + A (Mac)
  4. Copy: Press Ctrl + C (Windows) or Cmd + C (Mac)
  5. Open Microsoft Word (create a new blank document)
  6. IMPORTANT - Paste with formatting: Press Ctrl + V (Windows) or Cmd + V (Mac)

✓ Pro Tip: No additional formatting needed! HALO pre-formats your resume using modern structure optimized for both recruiters and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS bots). The formatting will transfer perfectly to Word.
